Position Name: College Teachers Interns (CTI)
Salary: Rs. 50,000/- per month

Job Description and Details
The Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab has announced a significant recruitment drive for 8,084 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) to address the teaching staff shortage in government colleges. These positions are a temporary, contract-based, and merit-based opportunity for fresh graduates to gain experience in the education sector.
- Total Positions: 8,084
- Job Location: All Punjab
- Duration: The internship period is for 7 months for Intermediate level (Oct 1, 2025 – Apr 30, 2026) and 10 months for BS/Graduate level (Oct 1, 2025 – Jul 31, 2026). The contract may be terminated earlier upon the arrival of a regular incumbent.
- Stipend: A monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000/- will be provided.
Eligibility and Quotas
To be eligible for the CTI program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- For BS Colleges: Applicants need a Master’s degree, MS, M.Phil., or Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
- For all other Colleges (including Community Colleges): A Master’s degree or a 4-year BS program with at least a 2nd division in the relevant subject is required.
The selection process is purely merit-based, with marks distributed as follows: 87 for academic qualification, 5 for a qualification higher than a Master’s degree, 5 for being a position holder in a board/university, and 3 for the interview.
Special Quotas: To promote inclusivity, the program has allocated special quotas:
- Minorities: 5%
- Disabled Persons: 3%
- Transgender Community: 0.5%

- Merit List and Interviews:
- A tentative merit list will be displayed on September 22, 2025.
- You can submit any objections or complaints regarding the merit list from September 23 to September 25, 2025.
- The final merit list will be published on September 25, 2025.
- Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted between September 29 and October 1, 2025.
- Final Selection and Joining:
- The final list of successful candidates will be uploaded on October 1, 2025 (evening).
- Selected candidates are required to join their duties by October 7, 2025.
