Job Description:

The Accountant will manage daily financial operations, administer accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, ensure FTA VAT compliance, process invoices in Zoho Books, and collaborate with operational management teams to maintain accurate corporate accounting records.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities, ledger postings, and financial record-keeping.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, trial balances, and cash flow reports.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, vendor payments, and client collections.
• Perform periodic bank reconciliations, track ledger balances, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Generate progress billing invoices, supplier purchase orders, and verify contractor payment applications.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations, prepare quarterly VAT returns, and maintain tax documentation.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts using Zoho Books and support internal accounting audits.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related academic discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on accounting experience specifically within the UAE.
• Prior accounting experience within a contracting, construction, or interior fit-out company is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Zoho Books accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT laws, tax filings, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
