L1 SOC Engineer (Level 1) – Abu Dhabi, UAE | Quess Corp

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Continuous Monitoring: Maintain 24/7 vigilance over security dashboards monitoring 4G/5G RAN and Core network infrastructure.
• Alert Triage: Analyze and validate security alerts from SIEM/SOAR platforms to determine the severity and legitimacy of potential threats.
• First-Level Response: Act as the initial point of contact for cybersecurity incidents, providing basic remediation and containment support.
• Escalation Management: Identify complex or high-risk incidents and escalate them to L2 SOC engineers in accordance with SLA protocols.
• Incident Documentation: Maintain precise logs and operational reports to ensure auditability and knowledge sharing within the SOC.
• Threat Research: Stay updated on emerging vulnerabilities specifically impacting 5G protocols and OT security environments.

🔹 Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
• Network Fundamentals: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, the OSI model, and core networking principles.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge: Foundational grasp of SOC workflows, threat landscapes, and 4G/5G protocol security risks.
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity or hands-on exposure to SIEM tools like Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel and SOAR platforms.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities and clear communication for reporting and escalation.
• Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), or CCNA CyberOps.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to work in rotational shifts to support round-the-clock operations.
