Job Description:
We are currently seeking a competent and detail-focused Accountant to join our expanding team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial management within our industrial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing project-related costs, and ensuring that all accounting procedures are in strict compliance with UAE standards. The ideal candidate will be a B.Com graduate with a solid background in the construction or steel industry, capable of handling the fast-paced nature of the contracting sector.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Record, verify, and manage daily financial transactions and ledger entries.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and Profit & Loss statements for Management review.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and supplier payments.
- Oversee project-based cost accounting, specifically for steel and construction materials.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with UAE VAT regulations and internal corporate policies.
- Support the Human Resources department with payroll accounting and employee benefit provisions.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support ongoing contracting operations.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related finance discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of proven accounting experience within the UAE or GCC region.
- Prior experience in the construction, contracting, or steel industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting procedures, and local compliance standards.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure within a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Currently residing in the UAE and available for a full-time position in Sharjah.
