Electrical Site Engineer – MEP

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a competent and experienced Electrical Site Engineer (MEP) to manage the execution of electrical and ELV works on our major project sites in Dubai. In this role, you will be the technical lead on-site, ensuring that all LV and ELV installations are performed strictly according to approved shop drawings and local authority regulations (DEWA/Dubai Municipality). You will act as the primary coordinator between various engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project flow. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a sharp eye for quality and a deep commitment to site safety.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of LV systems, including lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and fire alarm systems.
- Oversee specialized ELV works such as CCTV, access control, BMS (Building Management Systems), and related telecommunications infrastructure.
- Ensure all electrical works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Coordinate effectively with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams to prevent design clashes and ensure on-site synergy.
- Monitor daily site progress, workmanship quality, and manpower deployment to meet Management project milestones.
- Prepare and manage MIRs, WIRs, and TBMS documentation, along with other critical QA/QC records.
- Enforce strict HSE policies on-site and ensure all work permits and safety procedures are fully complied with.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department for manpower planning and site staff welfare.
- Support testing and commissioning activities and manage the final documentation for smooth project handover.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within the UAE’s MEP or Electromechanical construction sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, local authority regulations (DEWA), and international standards.
- Practical experience in managing LV and ELV systems within high-rise or large-scale commercial projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills in English to interact with project stakeholders and consultants.
- Ability to work independently and manage site teams under tight project deadlines.
