Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our holiday homes and short-term rental portfolio in Dubai. This role is essential for ensuring that revenue streams from diverse platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com are accurately recorded and reconciled. You will handle the full cycle of day-to-day accounting, from managing petty cash for property maintenance to ensuring our tax invoices comply with UAE VAT regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who understands the unique financial nuances of the hospitality sector and can work independently to meet the daily reporting requirements of a high-volume rental operation.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Enter daily revenue into QuickBooks Online from RMS and OTA platforms including Airbnb, Booking.com, and Agoda.
- Reconcile complex third-party payout reports with internal financial records to resolve all discrepancies.
- Manage the full Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable cycle, including issuing compliant tax invoices.
- Track guest payments, security deposits, and final owner payouts with meticulous accuracy.
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash in close collaboration with the on-site operations team.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for the Management team.
- Ensure all financial transactions and invoicing follow UAE VAT regulations and compliance standards.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding staff expense claims and payroll allocations.
- Coordinate with Real Estate agents and property owners regarding financial statements and utility settlements.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (highly preferred).
- Minimum 1–2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within the hospitality or holiday homes sector.
- High proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven familiarity with OTA platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda) and Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and their application to the hospitality industry.
- Ability to meet strict daily deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Professional communication skills to interact with property owners and the operations team.
