Job Description:
We are currently hiring a Multi-Unit Area Manager to oversee our school food and hospitality operations across multiple sites in Dubai. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for a professional who thrives on managing diverse teams, maintaining rigorous service standards, and driving operational performance. You will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day oversight of several school kitchens, ensuring that every plate served meets our high nutritional and safety benchmarks. The ideal candidate is a commercially astute leader with a passion for education-based catering and the ability to navigate the complexities of multi-site management with ease.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, guide, and mentor Head Chefs and on-site kitchen teams across multiple school locations to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain and audit high standards of food quality, hygiene (HACCP), and safety protocols at all assigned sites.
- Oversee budgets, manage stock control, and monitor inventory to meet key operational KPIs and financial targets.
- Coordinate and support high-profile school events, catering requests, and internal hospitality functions.
- Liaise with the Management team to develop and implement long-term service improvement strategies.
- Drive staff development, lead recruitment processes, and ensure 100% compliance with local health and teaching-environment regulations.
- Partner with Human Resources for performance appraisals, training needs analysis, and employee relations.
- Work with Engineering teams to ensure all kitchen equipment and facility maintenance are performed without disrupting school service.
🔹 Requirements:
- Proven experience managing multiple food service, catering, or hospitality locations.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating and developing multicultural teams.
- Solid commercial awareness with hands-on experience managing budgets, P&L, and performance metrics.
- Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage time effectively across different geographic sites.
- Deep understanding of food safety regulations and UAE health standards (Municipality/HACCP).
- A genuine passion for delivering healthy and enjoyable dining experiences within the education sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with school principals and parents.
