Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team in Dubai on a full-time basis. This role is essential for overseeing our daily financial operations and ensuring that our accounting records are maintained with absolute precision. You will handle end-to-end accounting functions, from managing payables and receivables to assisting with complex tax preparations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in UAE-specific accounting practices, including a deep understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. We are looking for a proactive professional who can contribute to the efficiency of our financial processes and provide accurate data for management review.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure the maintenance of accurate accounting records.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports in accordance with company policy and UAE regulations.
• Handle the full cycle of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify the accuracy of all financial data entries.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax returns.
• Ensure strict adherence to UAE financial laws and international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Tally ERP for all daily operational tasks.
• Collaborate with the Management team to identify and implement improvements in financial reporting efficiency.
• Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding payroll verification and staff expense claims.
• Work alongside Engineering or project teams to monitor project-specific costs and budget allocations.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience within the UAE.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks, Tally ERP, or similar accounting software systems.
• Hands-on experience in reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA will be considered a significant advantage.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Filipino nationality preferred; Male candidates required for this role.
