Job Description:
We are currently inviting applications from highly experienced and qualified Resident Engineers (Civil / Architectural) to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. This senior-level role is designed for a professional who can navigate the complexities of onsite project supervision with authority and technical precision. You will be responsible for overseeing high-impact projects from the initial mobilization phase through to completion and the final Defects Liability Period (DLP). The ideal candidate must possess a strong leadership presence, a data-driven mindset for PMP standards, and an unwavering commitment to local regulatory compliance. This is a long-term opportunity for a dedicated engineer to manage a wide array of challenging projects within a reputable consultancy.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive onsite supervision for Civil and Architectural works from commencement to project handover.
- Lead the technical review of architectural finishes, material submittals, and shop drawings to ensure design compliance.
- Manage and verify project variations, claims, and monthly payment certifications for the Management team.
- Ensure all construction activities strictly adhere to Abu Dhabi local authority regulations, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
- Oversee the project through the Defects Liability Period (DLP), ensuring all snag lists and technical issues are resolved.
- Coordinate daily with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding onsite technical staffing and safety training protocols.
- Utilize Information Technology tools and project management software to maintain organized documentation and progress reporting.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is mandatory.
- Valid PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is required.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Resident Engineering or Project Supervision.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale projects from mobilization through to the DLP phase.
- Strong technical expertise in Architectural Finishes and material submittal approvals.
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts, variation management, and payment certification processes.
- Thorough understanding of Abu Dhabi authorities’ rules (Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.) and regulatory approvals.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage multicultural project teams.
- Candidates currently based in the UAE are highly preferred.
