Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Storekeeper with deep hands-on knowledge of hardwood materials to join our team in Dubai. This role is essential for managing our extensive hardwood inventory, including Teak, Oak, Beech, and engineered wood products. You will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are handled, stored, and issued with the highest degree of care to maintain quality and prevent wastage. The ideal candidate will be a proactive inventory professional who understands the specific storage requirements of different wood grades and can coordinate effectively with both procurement and sales teams. This position is strictly open to candidates currently residing in the UAE who are ready to take full ownership of our hardwood stores.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage specialized hardwood materials including Teak, Oak, Beech, White Wood, Plywood, and MDF with proper stacking and labeling.
- Receive, inspect, and issue materials in strict accordance with GRNs (Good Receive Notes), delivery notes, and project requisitions.
- Maintain highly accurate stock records, tracking quantity, size, thickness, grade, and implementing strict wastage control.
- Prepare and update daily and weekly stock reports for Management review.
- Coordinate closely with procurement and sales teams to ensure timely material availability for upcoming projects.
- Implement control measures to minimize material damage, loss, or stock discrepancies.
- Ensure the warehouse meets all safety standards and company procedures for wood storage.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on warehouse staff safety training and operational adherence.
- Utilize Information Technology systems and ERP software for real-time inventory tracking and data entry.
🔹 Requirements:
- Mandatory: In-depth, hands-on knowledge of hardwood species and materials.
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper specifically within the Hardwood or Building Materials sector.
- Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple departments.
- Familiarity with UAE safety standards for industrial warehousing and material handling.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly regarding wood grades and measurements.
- Candidate must be currently based in the UAE.
