Job Description:
CNS Middle East is urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join its technical team in Dubai. This role is critical to maintaining stable, secure, and high-performing database environments across mission-critical systems. You will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of both relational and NoSQL database platforms, ensuring constant availability, performance optimization, and data integrity. The ideal candidate is a technical expert in MongoDB, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, with a deep understanding of enterprise-level sharding, clustering, and replication. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain high-performance MongoDB, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Manage advanced database architectures including sharding, clustering, and multi-region replication.
- Optimize system performance through advanced indexing strategies, query tuning, and schema refactoring.
- Configure and manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups to ensure zero downtime.
- Implement and test comprehensive failover, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Ensure maximum database security, reliability, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
- Support 24/7 production environments and resolve critical database-related issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Management to align database roadmaps with overall business and IT strategy.
- Coordinate with Human Resources on technical competency development and internal training programs.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience as a DBA managing MongoDB, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong background in High Availability (HA) frameworks and disaster recovery strategy.
- Solid understanding of enterprise-level IT operations and best practices for data integrity.
- Experience with cloud database migrations and hybrid cloud environments is a significant plus.
- Advanced scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) for database task automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in mission-critical settings.
- Immediate availability or a notice period not exceeding two weeks is highly preferred.
