Job Description:
We are actively seeking a committed HSE Specialist to join our team at Lootah Biofuels. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies across our industrial operations. You will play a vital role in integrating HSE considerations into our core operational strategies, ensuring that all biodiesel production processes meet the highest regulatory standards. We are looking for a safety professional with an industrial mindset who can communicate complex safety principles to diverse teams while maintaining a rigorous focus on hazard identification and risk mitigation.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement effective corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver specialized training programs on health, safety, and environmental policies to employees at all levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate HSE considerations into operational procedures.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management review.
- Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and federal government regulations, updating internal policies as necessary.
- Liaise with Human Resources to coordinate health surveillance programs and safety inductions.
- Utilize Information Technology tools and HSE management software for accurate incident reporting and tracking.
- Act as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries, fostering a proactive culture of safety within the organization.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management within an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international industrial best practices.
- NEBOSH IGC, CSP, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) management systems.
- Proficiency in IT tools and specialized HSE software for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and training abilities to engage effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on incident investigation and implementing corrective actions.
