Job Description:
Tornado Total Landscape is looking to expand its team with a skilled Quantity Surveyor. This role is ideal for professionals who possess a strong background in cost estimation, contract administration, and construction management. You will be responsible for the commercial health of our landscape and infrastructure projects, ensuring that budgets are accurately forecasted and strictly controlled. We are looking for an analytical individual who can collaborate effectively with project teams to maintain financial efficiency without compromising on the high-quality standards Tornado is known for. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from public parks to private luxury developments.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for landscape and infrastructure projects.
- Manage the full spectrum of contract administration, ensuring strict compliance with agreements and local regulations.
- Utilize advanced numerical and analytical skills for budgeting, financial forecasting, and proactive cost control.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure overall operational efficiency.
- Liaise with the management team to provide regular financial status reports and variations analysis.
- Coordinate with Human Resources regarding workforce planning and staff allocation for specific project sites.
- Utilize Information Technology tools and specialized QS software to streamline measurement and estimation processes.
- Evaluate sub-contractor tenders and manage payment certifications in accordance with project timelines.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, landscape methods, and UAE industry standards.
- Proven ability in cost estimation, commercial management, and contract law.
- High proficiency in IT platforms including MS Excel, AutoCAD, and industry-standard QS software.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of precision and professionalism.
- Effective communication skills in English to coordinate with diverse project stakeholders.
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Prior experience in the UAE landscape or infrastructure sector is highly preferred.
