Job Description:
An urgent opportunity is available for a Junior Accountant to join our logistics division in Nadd Al Hamar, Dubai. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, requiring a detail-oriented professional capable of handling end-to-end accounting functions with speed and accuracy. You will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, managing payables and receivables, and ensuring full compliance with UAE VAT regulations. We are specifically looking for a bilingual candidate (English and Tagalog) who can effectively coordinate across departments and utilize advanced Excel tools for financial reporting. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage General Ledger activities and ensure meticulous accuracy in all financial records.
- Prepare journal entries and generate comprehensive financial reports for management review.
- Handle monthly VAT filings and ensure full compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate balances across all logistics matter files.
- Manage high-volume accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions for vendors and agents.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel formulas effectively for data analysis and operational reporting.
- Liaise with Human Resources regarding employee allowance disbursements and payroll documentation.
- Leverage Information Technology tools and accounting software to streamline digital financial records.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in the UAE; experience in the logistics sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in both English and Tagalog is required for effective team and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with modern IT-based accounting systems.
- Sound understanding of UAE VAT rules and compliance procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to manage management deadlines.
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced and high-volume logistics environment.
- High level of professional integrity and attention to detail in financial reporting.
