Job Description:

Gulf Indian High School is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. This role is fundamental to our institution, requiring a professional who can maintain compliant financial processes while managing high-volume fee transactions. You will be responsible for general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and preparing financial statements for management review. We are looking for an analytical professional with a strong background in educational finance who can join immediately. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and journal postings.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, specifically focusing on the management of school fee collections.
  • Prepare financial statements, budget analyses, and reports for internal planning and board review.
  • Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding payroll processing and staff financial benefits.
  • Utilize Information Technology tools and accounting software to ensure data accuracy and financial transparency.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably within a UAE school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT compliance, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in modern IT tools and financial management software.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
