Job Description:
We are executing a strategic professional appointment within our central technical office and planning framework and are seeking a meticulous, analytical Assistant Technical Engineer (Civil) to govern infrastructure estimation pipelines and direct structural planning pathways in Abu Dhabi. Configured for early-career structural specialists who possess deep foundational command of civil design systems and excel at managing detailed scheduling matrices, this full-time track focuses on accelerating technical submittal approvals, auditing quantity take-off databases, and maximizing site milestone delivery rates under our unified corporate management framework.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, auditing, and processing comprehensive structural shop drawings, technical submittals, detailed method statements, and material specification sheets.
- Perform rigorous quantity take-offs, construct detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) sheets, and support core cost estimation and cost budgeting activities.
- Review complex structural drawings, design specs, and multi-layered contract documents to guarantee total technical regulatory compliance.
- Support project master planning, baseline work program assembly, and structural production monitoring tracks within critical path systems.
- Coordinate directly with on-site infrastructure execution crews to ensure scheduled targets are met precisely within approved timelines.
- Prepare structured weekly and monthly construction progress records, look-ahead schedules, and analytical status tracking dashboards.
- Assist the Quantity Surveying department with ongoing site measurements, variation logging, and interim subcontractor payment applications.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready technical records detailing RFIs, approval statuses, submittal revisions, and historical project logs.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a fully accredited academic institution is required.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of verified, high-performance professional experience operating inside a technical office, cost surveying deck, or project planning unit within the UAE construction marketplace.
- Advanced interactive data literacy with extensive practical capability manipulating engineering software, running baseline scheduling updates, and configuring multi-parameter calculation sheets inside MS Excel.
- Deep, comprehensive operational knowledge across the following primary functional dimensions:
- Project planning methods, baseline tracking rules, and progress evaluation using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Quantity surveying practices, automated material take-offs, and accurate BOQ structure configuration models.
- AutoCAD drawing systems, structural schematic interpretation, detailing standards, and geometric layout parameters.
- Technical documentation control, standard RFI logging cycles, material approvals, and corporate contract reporting rules.
- Outstanding structural coordination habits, strict attention to drafting and estimation detail, analytical problem-solving traits, and a strong collaborative mindset; immediate professional availability to join the Abu Dhabi team is highly preferred.
