Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Academy Physiotherapist to join our Physical Performance & Medical team in Abu Dhabi. This role is fundamental to our athletic framework, requiring a professional who can assess, treat, and manage sports-related injuries for management and performance review. You will be responsible for implementing injury prevention strategies, providing pitch-side emergency care, and working closely with coaching staff to monitor player recovery. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in Sports Physiotherapy and adolescent athlete management. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive physiotherapy support to academy players during training and matches across Abu Dhabi.
- Assess and manage sports-related injuries to meet management and medical performance standards.
- Liaise with the Human Resources and coaching teams regarding safeguarding policies, player fitness, and recovery protocols.
- Provide pitch-side emergency care and respond effectively to trauma situations during elite football events.
- Utilize digital Information Technology and performance monitoring tools (GPS/VALD) for data-driven injury tracking and reporting.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc) with HCPC/CSP or equivalent international registration.
- Valid UAE medical license (DOH, DHA, or MOH) or immediate eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in elite sports, preferably in football or youth academies.
- Strong background in management of adolescent athlete development, conditioning, and injury prevention.
- Professional background in education or training regarding pitch-side trauma (ITMMiF/ATMMiF) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Excellent communication skills with a clear criminal background check for safeguarding compliance.
