Accountant – Abu Dhabi, UAE | Arak Engineering Consultants

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Project Financial Management: Maintain accurate, segregated financial records for various engineering projects and high-profile clients.
• Revenue Cycle: Prepare professional client invoices and proactively monitor accounts receivable (AR) to ensure healthy cash flow.
• Cost Tracking: Assist in detailed project budgeting and track actual costs against forecasts to identify variances early.
• Treasury & Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, manage petty cash disbursements, and oversee operational expenses.
• Financial Insights: Support management with data-driven analysis regarding project profitability, forecasting, and long-term financial health.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices strictly adhere to company policies, client-specific requirements, and UAE VAT regulations.

🔹 Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• Experience: At least 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the consultancy, engineering, or professional services sectors.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in modern accounting software and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Financial Modeling).
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, project-based bookkeeping, and UAE compliance requirements.
• Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and the ability to meet strict monthly and project-based deadlines.
