Accountant (CA/CMA/ACCA) – Budget Accounting

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Budget Accountant to oversee our annual and monthly financial planning cycles. This role is central to our project success, requiring a candidate who can translate complex project data into accurate forecasts and reconciliations. You will work closely with various departments to monitor budget utilization and provide the senior leadership team with critical MIS reports to guide business decisions.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive annual and monthly budgets, forecasts, and necessary budget revisions.
- Execute incremental budgeting processes and ensure data accuracy throughout all financial cycles.
- Conduct regular budget-vs-actual analysis and provide detailed variance explanations.
- Manage specialized project-wise accounting and perform monthly project financial reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly MIS and management reports to support executive-level decision-making.
- Verify Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) against approved budgets to monitor and control utilization.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation, accruals, and financial provisions are maintained.
- Support internal and external audit processes and mentor junior team members on budget controls.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department for departmental budget alignment and payroll-related provisions.
🔹 Requirements:
- Professional Accounting/Finance qualification (CA, CMA, or ACCA is highly preferred).
- Proven hands-on experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and project-based accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong reconciliation skills; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, project-driven environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
