Job Description:
Thafzeel is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee the daily financial operations of our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, ensuring that all financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date. You will play a vital role in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, performing reconciliations, and supporting the management team with budgeting and VAT compliance. We are seeking a professional who thrives in a structured environment and possesses the analytical skills necessary to generate actionable financial insights for the company.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and complex general ledger entries.
- Prepare, review, and ensure the absolute accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform timely month-end and year-end closing processes to support management reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor company cash flow to ensure operational liquidity.
- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and the preparation of VAT filings in accordance with UAE law.
- Liaise with Human Resources regarding payroll processing and employee benefit accounting.
- Utilize Information Technology tools and ERP software to maintain digital financial records.
- Support internal and external audit preparation processes by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UAE VAT regulations.
- Proven ability to manage the full accounting cycle with high attention to detail.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and modern IT accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or Oracle).
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and meet strict financial deadlines.
- Prior experience in the UAE construction or commercial sectors is an advantage.
