Accountant – General Ledger – Dubai, UAE

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• GL Management: Maintain and manage the full general ledger specifically for Facilities Management operations and multi-site projects.
• Closing Procedures: Record precise journal entries and lead month-end and period-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Comprehensive Reconciliation: Perform detailed bank reconciliations, vendor balance reviews, and site-specific account reconciliations.
• Cost Tracking: Monitor and track accruals, provisions, and direct operational costs linked to complex FM service contracts.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of management reports and provide comprehensive documentation support during audits.
• Data Integrity: Ensure all financial data is processed in compliance with internal controls and standard accounting principles.

🔹 Requirements:

• Industry Expertise: Mandatory proven accounting experience within the Facilities Management industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and financial analysis.
• Experience Level: 5–6 years of hands-on experience in a structured accounting role.
• Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy in managing accruals, provisions, and inter-company site accounts.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional discipline.
