Job Description:

The Accounts Manager will own the finance function for project-based contracting activities, ensuring accurate project accounting, timely invoicing, VAT & CT compliance, and reliable management reporting. The role requires strong construction-sector experience and hands-on accounting leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve purchase bills and subcontractor invoices prior to processing.
  • Authorize supplier and subcontractor payments, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement.
  • Maintain and reconcile project-wise subcontractor masters and advance records.
  • Monitor project budgets and BOQs; ensure correct cost allocation to projects.
  • Track vendor advances and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Recognize revenue in line with project progress and prepare accurate client invoices.
  • Prepare and review VAT submissions and related reconciliations; support Corporate Tax (CT) provisions.
  • Oversee cash and fund status, monitoring major inflows and outflows.
  • Prepare final accounts with all schedules and supporting documentation for audits and management review.

Requirements:

  • 10–15 years of experience in Accounting & Finance with a minimum of 5 years in the construction sector.
  • B.Com plus a professional qualification (CA / CMA / ACCA).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT compliance and Corporate Tax provisions.
  • Hands-on experience with project-based accounting, BOQ management and subcontractor accounting.
  • Proven ability to review/approve supplier/subcontractor invoices and manage payment workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
