Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Acoustic Modeling: Perform detailed calculations and design noise mitigation solutions for complex HVAC systems and generator sets.
- On-Site Verification: Carry out acoustic measurements (STC/IIC testing) and performance verification, recommending corrective actions when results deviate from specs.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare professional reports containing analysis results, sound pressure level (SPL) calculations, and compliance statements.
- Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Liaise with architects and MEP consultants to integrate acoustic designs into overall building blueprints.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all designs meet UAE municipality regulations and international standards such as ASTM, ISO, and ASHRAE.
🔹 Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience specifically in Building or Mechanical Acoustics.
- Software Mastery: Proficiency in acoustic analysis software such as CADNAA, INSUL, ODEON, or CATT-Acoustic.
- Drafting Skills: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit for integrating acoustic treatments into technical drawings.
- Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with CIBSE and ASHRAE standards regarding noise and vibration control.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to produce clear, data-driven technical reports under project deadlines.
