Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Alternate Compliance Officer (ACO) to join our group subsidiary in Abu Dhabi. This role is fundamental to our regulatory framework, requiring a professional who can manage the organization’s AML/CFT systems and oversee transaction monitoring for management and CBUAE review. You will be responsible for acting as the key compliance authority in the absence of the Compliance Officer, conducting risk assessments, and updating internal policies. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in UAE Financial Regulations and extensive experience within exchange houses or regulated entities. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the organization’s Compliance and AML/CFT framework across our Abu Dhabi operations.
- Ensure full adherence to CBUAE regulations and internal standards to meet management and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with the Human Resources and audit teams regarding staff training, internal inspections, and regulatory reporting.
- Oversee transaction monitoring, conduct AML reviews, and manage suspicious activity reporting (SAR).
- Utilize digital Information Technology and compliance software for efficient risk assessment and data-driven reporting.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a relevant academic discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of professional UAE experience in Compliance, AML, or Regulatory roles.
- Strong background in management of CBUAE frameworks, transaction monitoring, and financial crime prevention.
- Professional background in education or training regarding AML/CFT policies and staff compliance programs.
- Prior experience in exchange houses or CBUAE-regulated entities is mandatory.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or ACAMS are highly preferred.
- Immediate availability or short notice period is preferred for this Abu Dhabi based role.
