Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our client’s onsite team in Dubai. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives on designing and maintaining high-performance database systems. You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into reliable data structures. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Oracle ecosystems, PL/SQL optimization, and BI reporting frameworks. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Support and manage ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow for reporting and advanced analytics.
- Build and enhance comprehensive BI reports using tools such as Crystal Reports and MicroStrategy.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse models, including star schema and dimensional modeling architectures.
- Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks through rigorous tuning and scalability analysis.
- Collaborate with the onsite Management and technical teams to ensure database solutions align with business objectives.
- Liaise with Engineering teams to integrate database backend services with front-facing applications.
- Ensure maximum data accuracy and security by implementing robust backup and recovery protocols.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer or Software Engineer with a strong database focus.
- Expert knowledge of Oracle databases; exposure to Amazon Redshift is a significant advantage.
- Advanced SQL/PLSQL skills, including extensive performance tuning and optimization experience.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and Business Intelligence (BI) frameworks.
- Excellent analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a client-facing, onsite environment.
- Strong communication skills in English to collaborate with multicultural technical teams.
