Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Department Manager to oversee our retail operations in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be the commercial driver for your assigned department, responsible for translating brand strategies into consistent sales growth and exceptional service standards. You will act as a mentor and leader, shaping a high-performing team while meticulously managing stock and visual aesthetics. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the commercial acumen to identify growth opportunities and optimize departmental performance.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily department operations, including detailed sales monitoring, team supervision, and stock management.
- Develop and implement localized commercial strategies to increase department revenue and consistently meet monthly sales targets.
- Coach, mentor, and provide technical training to staff members to enhance productivity and customer engagement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to build a high-achieving sales team.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising to ensure appealing and brand-compliant product displays.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and coordinate with the warehouse for timely replenishment.
- Liaise with the Management team to review performance reports and identify strategic areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department regarding staff scheduling, recruitment, and internal training programs.
- Coordinate with Engineering or facilities maintenance for any required department repairs or lighting/technical adjustments.
- Address customer concerns professionally, ensuring a resolution that aligns with our commitment to service excellence.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or professional certification in Retail Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a retail management or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated success in consistently meeting and exceeding aggressive sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
- Expert knowledge of visual merchandising standards and modern inventory management practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to perform effectively in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in retail ERP systems, POS software, and Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint).
