About the Role:
EMCC is looking for a meticulous and experienced Estimation Engineer to join their team and support tendering and bid preparation for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and Facilities Management (FM) projects. The role requires solid UAE experience and the ability to produce accurate, market-aligned cost estimates.
Position Overview:
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labour, plant, and equipment for MEP and FM projects.
- Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications to define scope and assumptions.
- Coordinate with procurement and operations; obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Conduct site visits and technical assessments as needed to validate quantities.
- Compile BOQs and estimation reports to support bid submissions and commercial decisions.
- Maintain and update estimation databases, cost benchmarks, and historical rate libraries.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 5–8 years’ UAE-based estimation experience in the MEP/FM sector (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of local market rates, supplier networks, and project delivery practices.
- Proficient in estimation software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking, organisation, and communication skills.
