General Accountant – Dubai, UAE | Aurora PI

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded with precision.
• Statutory Compliance: Lead the preparation and filing of VAT returns and ensure adherence to the latest UAE Corporate Tax regulations.
• Financial Closing: Execute rigorous month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements.
• Reconciliations: Maintain accurate financial records through regular bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations.
• ERP Management: Utilize ERP systems and MS Office tools to perform complex financial analysis and reporting.
• Internal Controls: Support internal audit processes and maintain high standards of documentation to ensure transparency and compliance.

🔹 Requirements:

• Professional Experience: 6 to 8 years of overall accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years within the UAE.
• Sector Expertise: Prior experience working in contractor or subcontractor environments is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong mastery of accounting principles (IFRS) and current UAE financial regulations.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel for financial modeling.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Attributes: High attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to financial reporting.
