Sundus Global is representing a prestigious Government Entity in Abu Dhabi seeking an experienced finance professional to maintain rigorous general ledger standards and financial reporting.

Job Description:

The GL Accountant will manage general ledger accounts, execute accurate journal entries, and support month-end closing activities in line with IFRS guidelines.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end closing activities.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Support audit processes, VAT requirements, and financial reporting activities.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
