🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Departmental Management: Lead, supervise, and motivate the teaching faculty within your subject area to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team.
- Curriculum Oversight: Plan and oversee the delivery of a rigorous curriculum that aligns with school standards and KHDA/MOE regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly monitor teaching quality through lesson observations and provide constructive feedback to improve pedagogical standards.
- Academic Monitoring: Analyze student assessment data to track academic performance and implement interventions to drive student achievement.
- Staff Mentorship: Provide ongoing academic guidance, professional development, and mentoring to junior teachers and support staff.
- Strategic Coordination: Support school leadership in operational goals and ensure seamless coordination between different academic departments.
🔹 Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in the relevant subject area. A B.Ed. or recognized teaching qualification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in both classroom teaching and departmental leadership/supervision.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage academic teams, plan complex curricula, and execute academic monitoring frameworks.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse school environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of assessments, data-driven instruction, and the latest educational best practices.
