Health & Safety Officer – Sharjah, UAE | Beaconhouse MENA

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Policy Implementation: Execute and monitor campus-wide health and safety policies in strict alignment with UAE educational standards.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular, documented risk assessments and safety inspections of classrooms, laboratories, sports facilities, and playgrounds.
• Hazard Identification: Proactively identify potential hazards (physical, chemical, or environmental) and recommend immediate corrective actions.
• Event Safety: Support school activities, field trips, and events with comprehensive safety planning and on-site oversight.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with SPEA (Sharjah Private Education Authority) and Civil Defense regulations, maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Emergency Preparedness: Lead and coordinate regular fire drills, evacuation procedures, and staff safety training workshops.

🔹 Requirements:

• Certification: NEBOSH IGC or equivalent health and safety qualification is strictly mandatory.
• Sector Experience: Proven experience working specifically within a school or educational environment.
• Current Location: Candidates must be currently residing in the UAE.
• Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE health and safety regulations and Sharjah-specific municipal requirements.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with students, teachers, and external authorities.
