Job Description:
We are urgently hiring a qualified and committed HSE Officer to join our operations team in Abu Dhabi. This role is essential for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental protocols are strictly followed on-site. You will be responsible for the hands-on implementation of safety systems, conducting rigorous site inspections, and fostering a proactive safety mindset among the workforce. This position is ideal for an experienced safety professional who thrives in technical environments such as fabrication, commissioning, and industrial installation, ensuring that every project phase remains compliant with UAE legal and company standards.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive HSE orientations, inductions, and specialized safety awareness programs for all site personnel.
- Implement and monitor site-specific HSE Plans, Emergency Response Procedures, and Welfare Plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including Permit to Work (PTW), WMS, and Risk Assessments.
- Manage and monitor control measures for site-specific hazards such as H2S and chemical exposure.
- Perform regular HSE audits and site inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Lead incident reporting and investigation procedures, ensuring effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA follow-ups.
- Maintain highly accurate HSE documentation and performance reports in line with project and DOH/ADOSH requirements.
- Liaise with the Management team to communicate safety KPIs and compliance status.
- Support the Human Resources department with safety training records and staff competency tracking.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to review technical safety requirements during the commissioning phase.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or a 3-year technical Diploma (Equivalency to Bachelor Degree required).
- 3 to 5 years of proven HSE experience, with at least 1 year in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Construction sectors.
- Mandatory: NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or equivalent.
- Additional certifications such as IOSH or a Diploma in Industrial Safety Management are highly preferred.
- Solid experience in implementing safety systems for fabrication, installation, and commissioning projects.
- Proficiency in English with strong technical writing and reporting skills.
- Deep understanding of UAE health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Proactive, result-driven attitude with the ability to lead safety initiatives on-site.
