Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Design: Develop comprehensive HVAC and MEP design layouts, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
- Engineering Calculations: Perform detailed cooling/heating load calculations using industry-standard software to ensure optimal system performance.
- Drafting & Modeling: Produce accurate shop drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- MEP Coordination: Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and firefighting designers to resolve clashes and ensure a seamless integrated MEP system.
- Project Support: Collaborate closely with on-site fit-out and contracting teams to provide technical clarifications during the execution phase.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
🔹 Requirements:
- Experience: Demonstrated professional UAE experience in HVAC and MEP design is mandatory.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM) are essential for this role.
- Technical Standards: Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, SMACNA, and UAE local authority regulations (DM/DCD/DEWA).
- Calculations: Proven ability to perform load calculations, static pressure calculations, and equipment selection.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
