Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Buying: Plan and execute seasonal buying strategies with a heavy focus on stock rotation and high sell-through rates.
- Trend Monitoring: Analyze sales trends and “Weeks of Cover” (WOC) to maintain lean and efficient inventory levels.
- Inventory Health: Identify slow-moving SKUs and aging inventory; implement corrective actions like markdowns, stock transfers, or product exits.
- Replenishment Logic: Drive data-driven replenishment decisions based on real-time sales performance and store-specific needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with brands, suppliers, and store management teams to optimize the supply chain and enhance product visibility.
- Performance Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports on stock risks, inventory health, and key retail performance metrics.
🔹 Requirements:
- Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in retail merchandising, buying, and inventory control.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex sales data and translate it into actionable inventory strategies.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of retail management systems and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) for data modeling.
- Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Dubai lifestyle and retail landscape.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
