Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microbiologist to join our laboratory team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end microbiological analysis of diverse samples, ensuring that all testing is conducted with clinical precision. You will play a vital part in maintaining our laboratory’s high standards of quality control and safety. This position is ideal for a hands-on chemist or microbiologist who is well-versed in UAE laboratory protocols and ISO quality assurance processes, looking to grow within a professional and structured scientific environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex microbiological testing and analysis in strict accordance with standard laboratory procedures.
- Handle and process various clinical and environmental samples for examination and culture preparation.
- Prepare and maintain bacterial cultures, specialized laboratory media, and reagents.
- Accurately document test results and compile detailed technical laboratory reports for the Management team.
- Ensure full adherence to ISO standards and internal quality control measures to maintain lab accreditation.
- Follow stringent safety guidelines and maintain a sterile, organized, and clean laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department regarding health and safety training and laboratory competency records.
- Liaise with Engineering or maintenance teams to ensure the proper calibration and servicing of laboratory instrumentation.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on microbiology laboratory experience specifically within the UAE.
- Strong technical understanding of microbiological testing techniques, culture preparation, and sample analysis.
- Proven familiarity with ISO standards and laboratory quality assurance (QA/QC) processes.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills for preparing laboratory reports.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to laboratory safety and hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently within established protocols in a high-throughput laboratory setting.
- Must be currently based in the UAE and available to join the Abu Dhabi team promptly.
