Job Description:
Basmat Ghayathi Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacist to lead its pharmaceutical services in Abu Dhabi. This role is fundamental to our clinical operations, requiring a professional who can ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant pharmacy functions. You will be responsible for accurate medication dispensing, patient counseling, and meticulous inventory management in line with DOH regulations. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately in strict accordance with DOH pharmacy regulations and clinical standards.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, potential side effects, and drug interactions to ensure therapeutic education.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including controlled substance records and proactive stock management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support medication reconciliation and safety initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to cold chain management and proper technical documentation protocols.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding professional licensure updates and clinical training.
- Utilize Information Technology and pharmacy management software to track prescriptions and sales data.
- Coordinate with engineering or maintenance teams to ensure the integrity of pharmaceutical storage and refrigeration equipment.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.
- Valid DOH Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtain one immediately.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical or retail pharmacy practice within the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE pharmacy regulations, drug standards, and safety protocols.
- High level of IT literacy for managing digital health records and inventory systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient education and counseling.
- Professional background in management of pharmaceutical supplies and vendor relations.
- Commitment to maintaining high accuracy standards and a proactive clinical approach.
