Job Description:
Ala Group is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Procurement Officer to join our expanding UAE team. This role is ideal for professionals who are ready to take the next step in their management career within a fast-paced, sustainability-focused environment. Operating on an evening shift schedule, you will be responsible for supporting core procurement activities, managing diverse supplier relationships, and ensuring that all purchasing is both timely and cost-effective. We are looking for a proactive negotiator who can maintain strong communication with both internal departments and external global stakeholders to uphold our high standards of supply chain efficiency.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and support daily procurement activities, ensuring materials and services are sourced at competitive prices.
- Proactively manage and develop strong, long-term relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high quality standards for all recycling-related assets.
- Liaise with the Management team to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Coordinate with Human Resources regarding vendor compliance and internal safety standards for contractors.
- Utilize Information Technology tools and ERP systems to track purchase orders and manage digital inventory records.
- Conduct regular market research and cost analysis to identify potential savings and supply chain optimizations.
- Ensure all procurement documentation, including contracts and invoices, is accurate and compliant with UAE regulations.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for handling diverse global stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively during Evening Shift hours.
- Must be currently based in the UAE.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with modern procurement software.
- Immediate availability to join is highly preferred.
