Job Description:
AMIM is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QS Engineer to join our construction operations in Dubai. This role offers an excellent platform for both fresh Civil Engineering graduates and experienced professionals to strengthen their skills in Quantity Surveying. You will be responsible for ensuring project cost control through accurate measurements, quantity verification, and meticulous documentation. Working closely with site teams, you will play a key role in the invoicing process and material tracking. We are looking for an individual who is proficient in technical drawing software and possesses the communication skills necessary to coordinate effectively across all project levels.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) in strict accordance with project procurement requirements.
- Conduct regular project measurements and verify quantities executed on-site to ensure billing accuracy.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing shop drawings in coordination with the technical and engineering teams.
- Coordinate closely with site engineers and project management to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs to support timely invoicing and progress payment procedures.
- Monitor material usage on-site and prepare detailed wastage and tracking reports for the management team.
- Obtain necessary client and consultant approvals for completed measurements and submitted technical documents.
- Utilize Information Technology tools and AutoCAD for precise reporting and drawing management.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Fresh graduates currently in the UAE are highly encouraged to apply.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and MS Office applications (specifically Excel).
- Excellent proficiency in IT tools for data management and technical reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination.
- Prior experience or knowledge in waterproofing projects will be considered a distinct advantage.
- A proactive approach to learning the management aspects of quantity surveying.
- Ability to work efficiently within the fast-paced Dubai construction market.
