Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team immediately. This role is designed for a leader who can take full ownership of the accounts function, from daily transactions to complex financial reporting. You will lead a dedicated team and ensure that our financial operations support the continuous growth of our construction projects in the UAE.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy across all ledgers.
- Lead and mentor a team of at least 3 accounting professionals.
- Manage comprehensive Accounts Payable and Receivable processes tailored to construction cycles.
- Prepare detailed Financial Statements, including Balance Sheets and P&L reports.
- Oversee the internal and external auditing processes to ensure full compliance.
- Handle VAT reporting and ensure adherence to UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers to track costs and manage project-based accounting.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department for payroll processing and employee-related financial documentation.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance plus CA Inter (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 4+ years of dedicated experience as a Senior Accountant specifically in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading a team of 3 or more members.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of financial statements and auditing procedures.
- Expertise in UAE VAT laws and reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet tight month-end deadlines.
- Immediate availability is highly preferred.
