Senior Accountant – Dubai, UAE | Latinum HR (Client Opportunity)

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements in strict accordance with IFRS standards.
• Tax Compliance: Manage the end-to-end VAT process, ensuring timely filings and full compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Month-End Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing cycles, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are accurately recorded.
• Ledger Integrity: Maintain and review the General Ledger, ensuring all transactions are coded correctly and accounts remain balanced.
• Reconciliation: Perform complex bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial queries.

🔹 Requirements:

• Local Expertise: Mandatory 4–7 years of proven accounting experience specifically within the UAE market.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong practical command of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS standards.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern accounting software (ERP) and advanced MS Excel (complex modeling and data analysis).
• Discipline: A high level of accuracy, financial discipline, and a rigorous attention to detail.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional certifications like ACCA/CPA are an advantage).
• Communication: Professional communication skills to present financial data clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
