Site Engineer (Retail Fit-Out) – Abu Dhabi, UAE | FDC Interiors

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Site Execution: Lead the end-to-end execution of retail fit-out projects, ensuring all works strictly adhere to approved technical drawings and specifications.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Supervise and manage multiple subcontractors across various trades (Civil, MEP, Joinery) to maintain project momentum.
• Mall Liaison: Coordinate effectively with shopping mall management to ensure compliance with mall work permits, safety regulations, and night-shift protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all finishes meet the high-quality standards expected in premium retail environments.
• Schedule Management: Monitor site progress against the master schedule, implementing corrective actions to ensure timely project delivery.
• Problem Solving: Resolve on-site technical issues and coordination conflicts proactively to avoid delays in the retail opening timeline.

🔹 Requirements:

• Education: Mandatory Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience specifically in retail fit-out projects.
• Sector Knowledge: Mandatory hands-on experience working on shopping mall projects within the UAE.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical expertise in interior finishes and excellent on-site coordination capabilities.
• Mobility: A valid UAE driving license is mandatory; candidates must be willing and available to work based in Abu Dhabi.
• Communication: Professional communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse site teams and stakeholders.
