Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Draftsman to support our Abu Dhabi project team. This role is pivotal in the development of precise structural drawings and shop drawings that guide our onsite construction activities. You will work closely with structural engineers to ensure that all designs comply with UAE building codes and project-specific requirements. The ideal candidate is a technical expert in CAD software who possesses a thorough understanding of structural detailing and the ability to produce accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for massive infrastructure developments.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop precise and detailed structural drawings for large-scale buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare comprehensive Shop Drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for onsite execution.
- Coordinate effectively with structural engineers and project Management to ensure design integrity.
- Update and maintain drawing logs, ensuring all revisions are correctly documented and distributed.
- Ensure all structural detailing complies with project specifications and UAE building codes.
- Identify potential design conflicts early and provide proactive problem-solving support to the engineering team.
- Support the Human Resources department with technical assessments for junior drafting staff when required.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Structural Draftsman, preferably within a main contracting company in the UAE.
- Strong technical proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit.
- Deep knowledge of UAE construction standards and structural detailing requirements.
- Proven ability to prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and complex shop drawings.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure smooth coordination across multidisciplinary departments.
- Sharp attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Immediate availability to join our Abu Dhabi project is highly preferred.
