Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join our expanding team in Dubai. This role is essential for bridging the gap between artistic design concepts and physical production. You will be responsible for translating high-level design ideas into accurate, production-ready technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in interior fit-out and the ability to navigate the complexities of onsite construction requirements. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the problem-solving skills necessary to identify and resolve design challenges before they reach the production floor.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Produce highly detailed technical and shop drawings for complex interior fit-out projects.
- Collaborate closely with the design, production, and project Management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review all drawings and specifications for absolute precision and strict compliance with project standards.
- Identify potential design or structural challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with the Engineering department to ensure that technical designs are feasible and safe for installation.
- Liaise with Human Resources regarding technical training requirements for junior drafting staff.
- Support procurement by providing accurate material take-offs based on technical specifications.
- Maintain an organized library of technical details and project documentation for future reference.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of proven experience in technical design, specifically within high-end interior fit-out projects.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory (experience with Revit or 3Ds Max is a significant plus).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong structural problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of fit-out materials, joinery details, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multicultural site and design teams.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes and authority regulations is preferred.
