X-Ray Technician (Radiographer) – Abu Dhabi, UAE | Aster Clinic

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnostic Imaging: Perform high-quality radiographic examinations and X-ray procedures according to physician referrals and clinical protocols.
• Radiation Safety: Strictly adhere to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, ensuring proper use of lead shielding and monitoring for both patient and staff safety.
• Patient Positioning: Expertly position patients to obtain the most accurate diagnostic views while maintaining patient comfort and minimizing the need for repeat exposures.
• Equipment Operation: Maintain, calibrate, and operate digital radiography (DR) or computed radiography (CR) systems, ensuring technical diagnostic standards are met.
• Image Quality Control: Review and evaluate images for technical quality, contrast, and clarity before transmitting them to the radiologist or referring physician via PACS.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, procedure logs, and consent forms in compliance with DOH regulations and Aster’s internal standards.

🔹 Requirements:

• Licensure: A valid and active DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) License is mandatory for this role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Proven practical experience working as an X-Ray Technician, preferably in a fast-paced clinic or hospital environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating modern digital X-ray equipment and familiarity with PACS/RIS software.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically to a diverse patient demographic.
• Professionalism: A strong commitment to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and continuous professional growth.
