Job Description:
A multinational logistics group is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to direct regional financial operations in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. Based in JAFZA, Dubai, this executive financial leader will oversee regional accounting functions, manage month-end and year-end book closing, direct budgeting and treasury management, ensure strict compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax laws, lead audit procedures, and optimize ERP system financial operations.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions across the group’s regional entities.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in line with Group deadlines.
- Improve financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures while ensuring compliance with IFRS and international standards.
- Provide financial analysis, business insights, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage treasury operations, cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and banking relationships.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, statutory regulations, and oversee internal and external audits.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and strengthen internal control frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while monitoring performance through KPIs.
- Collaborate with Group Finance and executive leadership on regional financial initiatives.
- Promote efficient use of ERP systems and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
🔹 Requirements:
- Professional qualification such as CA, ICWA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of overall finance experience, including 3–5 years in a Financial Controller or senior managerial capacity.
- Mandatory UAE experience with comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
- Proven experience working within a multinational corporate environment is required.
- Prior experience within Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) or the logistics and warehousing sector is preferred.
- High proficiency in enterprise ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, analytical, risk assessment, and stakeholder management skills.
