Senior Accountant / Finance Manager – Dubai, UAE | A leading real estate developer

Company Overview:

A leading real estate developer in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and the overall finance function across a group of related companies.

Job Description:

The Senior Accountant / Finance Manager will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, cash flow management, and financial controls while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial closing for multiple companies and projects.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments, expenses, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and internal accounting policies.
• Prepare tax filings and maintain supporting financial documentation.
• Monitor financial performance and review contracts and transactions from accounting, tax, and financial perspectives.
• Maintain strong financial controls, accounting procedures, and audit-ready records.
• Supervise accounting staff and coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other stakeholders.
• Perform additional finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including senior-level accounting and finance management responsibilities.
• Strong UAE accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.
• Real estate development experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in off-plan property development accounting is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of accounting systems.
• QuickBooks experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience managing the accounting and reporting of multiple companies or projects is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance and accounting function.
• Must be hands-on and willing to perform detailed accounting work alongside Finance Manager responsibilities.
