Pakistan Army has announced PMA Long Course 159 for eligible Pakistani candidates to join the Pakistan Army as Commissioned Officers after two years of training at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Pakistani citizens, including eligible domicile holders of AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.
  • Intermediate Candidates: 17–22 years as on 1 May 2027.
  • 2-Year Graduates / Serving PN or PAF: 17–23 years.
  • 4-Year Graduates (BS/BA-Hons/BBA/BPA): 17–24 years.
  • Serving Army Soldiers: 17–25 years.

Educational Qualification

  • Intermediate: Minimum 60% marks in FA/FSc or equivalent.
  • Graduates: Minimum 60% marks in BA/BSc/BS/BBA with at least 50% marks in FA/FSc.
  • Serving Soldiers: Minimum 50% marks in FA/FSc or equivalent.
  • A-Level: Minimum 60% aggregate with IBCC equivalence certificate.
  • Hope Certificate: FSc Part-I candidates with at least 60% marks may apply while awaiting Part-II results.

Selection Process

  • Written / Intelligence Test: English, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat and General Knowledge.
  • Physical Test: 1.6 km run (in 8 minutes); Push-ups (15/2 minutes); Sit-ups (15/2 minutes); Chin-ups (3/2 minutes); 7.4′×7.4′ Water Ditch Crossing.
  • Preliminary Interview & Essay: English and Urdu essay along with interview assessment.
  • ISSB: Shortlisted candidates undergo a 5-day assessment.
  • Medical Examination: Detailed medical examination at Combined Military Hospitals.
  • Final Selection: Based on overall performance and merit at GHQ.

Registration & Important Dates

  • Online Registration: 14 September 2026 to 23 October 2026
  • Preliminary Tests: 5 October 2026 to 15 December 2026
  • Training Duration: 2 Years at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul

Required Documents

  • Original Matric/FA/FSc Certificate or Detailed Marks Sheet
  • CNIC or Computerized Form-B with Guardian’s CNIC
  • One set of attested photocopies of educational documents
  • 3 passport-size colored photographs
  • Original and photocopy of NOT RECOMMENDED letter for repeater candidates

  • Submit your application before 23 October 2026.
  • Appear for the preliminary test at the selected Army Selection & Recruitment Centre (AS&RC).
