Job Description:

The Clinical Coder will review medical documentation, assign diagnostic and procedural codes, maintain patient health information security, audit clinical charts, support revenue cycle management, and partner with clinical management teams to maintain regulatory compliance.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Review clinical documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records.
• Ensure medical coding fully complies with Department of Health (DOH) regulations and international health coding standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient health records and medical data.
• Liaise directly with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to resolve documentation queries or clarify diagnoses.
• Support insurance claim submissions, revenue cycle operations, and medical billing compliance audits.
• Monitor coding accuracy metrics, minimize claim denials, and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Keep updated on evolving health insurance guidelines, coding revisions, and UAE healthcare regulations.

🔹 Requirements:

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification from AAPC is strictly mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on clinical coding experience within the UAE healthcare system.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding systems, DOH/HAAD billing guidelines, and medical terminology.
• Demonstrated expertise in health information management, revenue cycle processes, and clinical documentation audits.
• Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is an added advantage.
