Commercial Manager – Civil Contracting – Dubai, UAE | Top Tier

About the Role:

An established top-tier contracting firm is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to oversee commercial functions across civil contracting projects in Dubai. The role requires deep technical and contractual knowledge, proven commercial leadership, and hands-on experience managing cost, claims, and contractual risk on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The Commercial Manager will lead commercial and contractual management (ensuring compliance with terms), drive cost control and financial forecasting, prepare/manage/negotiate claims and variations, identify and mitigate commercial risks, and lead negotiations with stakeholders. Expertise in FIDIC Conditions of Contract is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the commercial and contractual management of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
• Drive cost control activities, budget management, and financial forecasting to protect project margins.
• Prepare, manage, and negotiate claims, variations, and commercial correspondence.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation measures in coordination with management.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior commercial staff.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 7–10 years in commercial management within civil contracting, including at least 5 years’ experience in the UAE.
• Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar. MRICS, PMP, or CCCM highly desirable.
• Expertise: Solid understanding of UAE contract law, FIDIC Conditions of Contract, contract administration, and dispute resolution techniques.
• Candidates must be currently located inside the UAE and immediate joiners will be prioritized.
