Assistant Category Manager – Appliances – Dubai, UAE | Jumbo Group

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Support: Assist in the execution of category-level strategies, including pricing architecture and product assortment planning.
• Data Analytics: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-through rates, gross margins, and promotional ROI using ERP systems.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with global appliance vendors regarding purchase orders, price protection, and back-end rebates.
• Inventory Control: Support planning initiatives to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize stock-outs, and proactively manage aging inventory.
• Market Intelligence: Track competitor pricing, new product launches, and seasonal retail trends in the UAE market.
• Promotional Execution: Collaborate with marketing teams to launch campaigns and ensure accurate SKU/pricing data within the retail system.

🔹 Requirements:

• Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in Category Management, Merchandising, or Retail Buying.
• Sector Knowledge: Prior exposure to the Home Appliances or Consumer Electronics retail environment is highly preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Strong numerical capabilities with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and retail ERPs.
• Negotiation: Commercially aware with the ability to support negotiations on commercial terms and promotional funding.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree holder in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Retail Management.
• Personal Attributes: Proactive, self-motivated, and possessing excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
